Eduroam
eduroam (education roaming) is the secure, world-wide roaming access service developed for the international research and education community.
Eduroam allows students, researchers and staff from participating institutions to obtain Internet connectivity across campus and when visiting other participating institutions by simply opening their laptop. More information about eduroam are available on e-infrastruktura.
How to connect to WIFI
Eduroam identity
To connect to the Eduroam network, you will need an Eduroam Identity (username and password), which you will create in the CRO system.
1. Log in to moje.slu.cz system.
2. Once authenticated look at the left menu and click on nastavení to access your settings.
3. Scroll down to find section about Eduroam, where you can change your password. Your username will always be in the form „your_username_in_CRO@slu.cz“ (ie abc0001@slu.cz).
Wireless network settings
After you have successfully obtained an Eduroam identity, you need to set up the Eduroam network on your device. This setting depends on the operating system you are using. We recommend to all users to use the autoconfiguration utility
Access
If you are logging in to the Eduroam service (wi-fi network) from the given device for the first time or after changing the settings, then proceed as follows:
- In the list of available Wi-Fi networks, select the network named Eduroam (ESSID: eduroam, athentication WPA2-AES)
- Enter your username in the form your_username_in_CRO@slu.cz (eg: abc0001@slu.cz)
- Enter your Eduroam password
- If you are logging in from Windows, leave the „Login domain“ field blank
Support

Coverage
For Android and iOS, there is the Eduroam Companion application, which displays points on the map with the occurrence of the Eduroam network. The application is free and you can download it in the Apple App Store (Eduroam Companion for iOS) and Google play (Eduroam Companion for Android).
