Dormitory and catering payment system

Dormitory and catering system ISKaM

The ISKaM information system is a new dormitory and catering system used at the Silesian University used for:

admitted students to apply for dormitories

allows the student to apply for accommodation, book a dormitory, choose a bed. Furthermore, the student has the opportunity to check their incoming payments.

The catering module enables a combined food collection system, ie. an order and non-order system.

The ISKaM information system works on the principle of „clearing“, ie = the student inserts, under one variable symbol, a monetary amount into the system. Student will automatically deduct the payment for the dormitory from this deposited amount. ISKaM system does not allow the student to go into a negative balance

Web access

The ISKaM information system has a web interface ready for students on address https://iskam.opf.slu.cz/ 

To log in to the web interface, the student uses the CRO credentials.

Students admitted to the 1st year + Applicants for study reports to ISKaM with the link: https://iskam.opf.slu.cz/login, here the student uses the university number (stated on the invitation to the admission procedure) and the password birth number (without a slash) as the username. Students use this link until the beginning of the academic year.

Money deposit

Student can deposit money on their ISKaM account either at the cashdesk in the main building of University at room A109 or transfer money online from banking account. 

For online transfers use account number – 117479043/0300 and variable symbol needs to be students birth number (without slash).

Catering module

The system enables a combined food collection system, ie an ordering and non-ordering system. The student has the opportunity to order food through the web interface iskam.opf.slu.cz. The condition for ordering food for students is a positive balance of cash on the student’s account. Without cash on the account, the student has the opportunity to choose food from the daily menu and pay in cash.

After logging in to the iskam.opf.slu.cz website, the student chooses the „Meal Orders“ menu. Select specific canteen and a day. The menu and the remaining number of possible meals to order will be presented. You can order for a period when the menu is approved, usually one week ahead.

Ordering food until: the day before until 14:00

Cancellation by: the day before until 14:00

Food on the stock exchange *: given day until 13:55

* Food Exchange: If you find that you cannot pick up food and the order has been completed, you can offer food at the Food Exchange. This can be done on the web interface no later than 5 min. before the end of the food (13:55 hours). If someone picks up food from the Exchange, they will pay for it and your order will not be forfeited.

Ordered but uncollected food will be forfeited and will be deducted from the account in the same way as picked food.
