Licensed eletronic information
The list of licensed electronic information resources (EIR) is free of charge for students and employees of the Silesian University in Opava (SU). Access to paid databases is possible from all computers connected to the SU network.
By entering the target source, the user declares that he / she has been acquainted and undertakes to comply with the EIR Use Policy: Use of the EIR is governed by the terms of the applicable license agreements. Electronic resources may only be used for personal study and research purposes. Commercial use is strictly prohibited. Bulk downloads from individual sources beyond current personal research needs are considered to be in violation of the license terms and may result in blocking access.
REMOTE ACCESS: For access from computers outside the SU network (from home) it is necessary to set up a proxy server in the browser or log in using the already prepared shibboleth login button.

1. Open Google Chrome browser and go to “Settings” (upper right corner). In “Settings” menu (upper left corner), select “Advanced” “System” “Open your computer’s proxy settings”. Your computer’s proxy settings will pop up.
2. In „Manual proxy setup“, click „Use a proxy server“
3. Fill out Address: medusa.slu.cz and port: 3128
4. Use the proxy server except for address that start with the following entries. Use semicolons to separate entries: localhost;127.0.0.1
5. Click on „Save“
6. Close the browsed and open it again. A “Sign in” window pops up.
7. Login with your CRO username and password
