Insurance and Health care

Insurance

Each incoming student must arrange comprehensive medical, accident, personal liability and possessions insurance valid for Czechia, before they leave home. The School of Business Administration is not responsible for costs stemming from missing or insufficient insurance.

EU citizens

EU citizens (as well as citizens of Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Switzerland) – have a European Health Insurance Card, and are entitled to use it for urgent health care free of charge. It is highly recommended to have a supplementary travel health insurance (conclude a contract in your home country before arrival to Karviná).

Non-EU citizens

Non-EU citizens, staying in Czechia longer than 3 months, must contract an insurance with an insurance company, which is licensed to operate the insurance in the territory of Czechia according to a special legal regulation.

Covid-19: In accordance with the Ministry of Health Protective Measure, non-EU students arriving in Czechia after July 1, 2020 are obliged to arrange a sufficient health insurance covering medical care related to Covid-19 disease prior to their arrival.
